Weighting/Value: 15%

Details of Task: This assessment has three parts.

  • Uploadingyour homework on moodle by 9 am on Monday every week will contribute to 5%.
  • Reflecton any particular aspect from the previous week’s lecture and comment on someoneelse’s  5%. For this task, you will go to the weekly forum and talk about somethingfrom the previous week’s lecture that you found intriguing. [For example, the use of ROIpotentially leading to two interesting management problems (management myopiaand tunnel vision) sounded quite fascinating to you]. Express your thoughts on this matter. Then view and make a brief comment on someone else’s forum post.
  • Activelyparticipate in zoom tutes and take part in polls when they are  5%. You need to be at your allocated tutorial.   管理会计网课代修

The CE will drop two least performing weeks from each of the items above to reach a mark for this assessment task.

Word limit: N/A

Presentation requirements: N/A Estimated return date: SWOT Vac Week Criteria for marking:
  • Markis awarded considering whether your homework is complete or substantially complete (whether correct or not) and demonstrates genuine attempts where
  • Withregard to your weekly forum reflections, they do not have any maximum word limitsattached to them. But at the minimum they should have at least 50- 70 words to makesense. You must also make a brief comment on someone else’s post (the comment could beof agreement or disagreement or some additional thoughts you could share with them.

Whether you agree or disagree, mention why).

The following guidelines will be followed when determining the preparation and participation markfor zoom tutes. Answering polls in time and also getting them right improves your participation mark.

Mark range Nature of contribution
4-5 Outstanding contributor

The comments made by you revealed exceptional preparation and the contribution provided a substantive foundation for furthering fruitful class discussions. If you were absent from the class, the tutorial would have lacked the desired student directed learning.

3.5-4 Good contributor

The comments made by you revealed thorough preparation and your contribution provided some useful insight into the topic. At times you even lead the class discussions. If you were absent from the class, the quality of student initiated debate would have significantly diminished.  管理会计网课代修

2.5–3.5
Standard contributor

The comments made by you revealed adequate preparation and at times your contribution aided class discussions. However, your contribution was not consistent. At times the comments you made were well argued and/or persuasive, yet on other occasions they were unsubstantiated and/or illogical. If you were absent from the class, the quality of the student initiated debate would have suffered.

0.5-2.5 Poor contributor

You rarely contributed to class discussions, it is extremely difficult to assess your level of preparation and the likely contribution you might have made to the class discussions.

0 Non-contributor

The comments made by you revealed a lack of preparation and negatively impacted upon class discussions. Additionally, your contributions failed to provide a constructive lead to class discussions and invariably disrupted the flow of debate.

FEW points of importance

  1. Stickto the word limit and beware of the penalty for excess word count.
  2. As you will be submitting a soft copy only, the file name is very important for quickidentificationand  Name the file in your Name and ID (e.g. Ahmad Sujan_99052310. pdf or Ahmad Sujan_99052310.docx)
  3. Amongstother resources, your report will have utilised at least one refereed, scholarly journal article published in either A* or A-ranked journals (in accounting or other business disciplines) as evidenced in the ABDC list: http://www.abdc.edu.au/master-journal-list.php
  4. Bewareof your turnitin similarity count (percentage). Harsh penalties apply for plagiarism.    管理会计网课代修  Similarity count below 10%, no questions  At or above 10%, you might be asked to justify the similarity count and penalties may follow if the justification is not satisfactory. Thetitle page may increase the similarity count of your assignment. You need to ensure thatyour report’s overall similarity count MINUS the similarity count for the title page (or similarroutine aspect) ends up being less than 10%. Submissions will be allowed multiple times sothat you can take corrective measures once you have the first turnitin similarity report,generated as soon as you submit (however, between the first and the second turnitin report generation, there may be up to a 24-hour delay; so don’t do things in the last minute).
Estimated return date: Within three weeks after submission.

Criteria for marking: In marking the report, particular attention will be paid to:

  • Theextent to which the requirements of the assignment have been met (including adequate referencing of refereed scholarly sources);
  • Thefluency of argument, that is, the extent to which the report is well-written and provides convincing arguments*;
  • Theconsistency (or flow) of the report, that is, the extent to which the report is a coherent piece rather than a sum of individual parts;
  • Theinnovation and originality shown, and;
  • Adherence to the wordlimit**.   管理会计网课代修

*Tohelp you with this point, when you analyse the case, remind yourself of the following pointers so that your final product (i.e., the summary report) reflects them:

  • How well were the problems of the casediagnosed?
  • How well were the problems analysed andcontextualised?
  • How well was prior research assimilated in youranalysis?
  • Was good use made of case data to support theanalysis?
  • Were appropriate conclusions drawn from theanalysis?
** The number of words in the assignment is not an indication of its quality.

Marks will be allocatedfor the substance and clarity of the work, not for its length. Tables and diagrams, for example, maycommunicate substance more clearly than a large number of words. However, the words in tables constitute part of the word count.

Mark penalties will apply to assignments that exceed the limit by more than 10%. This markdeduction will be equal to the percentage excess in the word count. For example, if a studentexceeds the word limit by 15%, they will have a deduction of 15% from their assignment mark.   管理会计网课代修
