Assessment 2 2022/23
Brad puts an advert up on the noticeboard of his local gym: ‘Home treadmill for sale, only 1 year old, FitFour Model TR6, £800’.
As he is putting the card up, another customer at the gym, Mary, speaks to him about it. She says she is very interested, but that she can only afford to pay £600. Brad says he can reduce the price to £750 but no less than that. Mary replies that she needs to see it to make sure it’s the model she wants, but that if it is, she’ll pay £750. Brad says ok. managerial law代写
When Brad returns home from the gym he finds an email from a friend, Shaun, responding to the same advert. It says: ‘I accept your offer, I’ll pay the full £800 and will pick it up tomorrow’. Brad doesn’t respond. The next day he changes his mind and gives the treadmill to his sister instead.
Brad comes to you and asks your advice about whether or not there is a legally binding contract in place with either;-
