The United State economy has been on the growing trend for centuries.  Global Strategies代写

The achievement of economic success before was not anchored on the global economy as it is today. In fact, U.S was growing from within itself until the emergence of multinational companies. Before then, the economy was closed, and workers were able to negotiate for better terms of engagement. Later on, these strategies failed as more companies moved to other countries to look for low-cost labor which could not be found in the U.S. another change that occurred the increase in labor mobility.

In the modern global economy, I tend not to agree with Merrill argument that economic integration and information technology are not good for our country. The world has changed in terms of technologies, and so the policies measures need to be adaptive with the trends to achieve economic growth and social well-being.

The country requires integrative labor controls that encourage competitiveness in the global market.  Global Strategies代写

Companies should be free to establish themselves as multinationalism in their capacity. I agree with Mantsios (320) advocation for an international labor movement which will control the labor terms of the multinational companies. In support of this argument, the writer points out how international trade in the country has grown at a higher rate than the domestic trade. This growth was as a result of multinational companies seeking low labor in developing countries.

Using this rational, it is important to have a global labor union which will address the needs of workers, especially in the developing countries. Elevation of the lowly paid workers in developing countries will give American people bargaining power for better working terms. In return the American citizens will gain better labor standards than before. Therefore, as the social well-being of the citizens improve, he argues that their productivity will also increase.

Another important global strategy is developing technology especially information technology.  Global Strategies代写

Contrary to Merrill (2) explanation about how information technology came to rob people their jobs, its as well create more jobs either directly or indirectly hence maintaining the balance. The global economy is where it is today because of ever-growing technology. In my opinion, for this country to be competitive in the global market, improvement in technologies in all aspects of the economy, as well as manufacturing, need to be given priority.

Beside labor integration and adoption of new technologies, we also need to protect the local labor market.  Global Strategies代写

Opening out borders for expatriates to do jobs that the citizens can be able to do even better is a risk to social well-being. Thus, the government needs to have legislation which protects the interests of its citizens, labor integrations and global unions notwithstanding. However, the measures should also give multinational companies a room for growth in its labor procurement.

As Heymann et al. (53-55) noted, countries can still compete even if they have different labor laws. In this case, U.S can still increase the labor standards without affecting the competitiveness in the global market. They also observed that, in the long run, the increase in labor standards increase labor productivity.
