Section B: Assessment Brief and Requirements
信息管理作业代写 Organisational Climate (e.g. what attention is paid to the internal dynamics of the organisation to unlock innovative potential?
Innovation Management is a complex and challenging process. Critically review the management of the innovation process for an organisation of your choice, utilising literature from Part II of MSIN0056 to inform your answer. Based on the challenges you discuss, outline overall lessons about effective innovation that organisations should take forward in the future.
Notes: 信息管理作业代写
Areas you may to choose to investigate include some of the following. Remember that this is an indicative and not exhaustive list, and it is expected that you engage with your chosen areas in a critical manner:
– Initial problem definition (e.g. how did the organisation determine the need for the innovation? To what extent did the organisation involve users in their decision-making? What challenges did they encounter in the initial stages?)
– Creativity processes (e.g. how Is creativity exhibited within the organisation? What practices and processes are put in place to help organisational members act more creatively? How did the organisation encounter and/or overcome barriers to creativity?) 信息管理作业代写
– Organisational Climate (e.g. what attention is paid to the internal dynamics of the organisation to unlock innovative potential? What is their approach to culture and leadership? How do they manage knowledge? To what extent does the climate enable or inhibit innovation?)
– Prototyping and testing (e.g once the idea was in place, how did the organisation bring the innovation to life? How did they develop, prototype and test the innovation? What part did other stakeholders have with this, and what was the impact? How could the process have been managed differently?
Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with the Marking Rubric for this piece of work (at the bottom of
the document), and any further guidance on Moodle. Some initial notes/guidance is offered below:
LITERATURE: 信息管理作业代写
– Your work should show a deep engagement with the literature on these topics. By ‘deep’ we mean: that you are demonstrating that you have clearly read beyond the information already provided to you already – either by reading further into the provided sources, or conducting your own literature searches.
– When you are using literature within your work, make sure that you go beyond using it just to describe a concept (e.g. what is open innovation?) and ensure that you are using literature for analysis and evaluation work (e.g. what were the benefits/issues of open innovation).
ANALYSIS
– Rich examples: You need to have an appropriate amount of depth for your example. You have the choice to conduct your own primary or secondary research. The advantage of primary research is that it gives you the opportunity to get specific information about the case, directly for the purpose of your work. Of course, you will need to gain ‘access’, and remember that it does not have to be a large organisation – indeed, the innovation processes of smaller, closer-to-home organisations can be just as rich and telling. The advantage of secondary research is that you would be able to gather sources from a variety of different areas to inform your argument –although you will have to make sure that this has the appropriate depth and breadth, and explores challenges as well as successes.
– However: remember that the description of the case study should not take over the narrative.Where marks come from is the analysis of your chosen organisation’s approach, which will be a result of you using theory to explain, unpack, question or critique what happened in practice –including key challenges. 信息管理作业代写
EVALUATION
– A critical focus: No process is perfectly executed, and it is hoped that within your work you do not present the organisations’ activities as a complete, flawless ‘ideal-type’ approach. Indeed, the hallmark of innovative learning organisations is the ability to critically reflect on activities to develop for the future. Therefore, whilst an element of your work will be spent exploring the straightforward elements of the approach, analysis, evaluations, discussions and conclusions should also draw on those elements that were less effective or went less well. Here, you can utilise insights from the literature to suggest alternatives.
– Ensure that you have an introduction and conclusion that appropriately summarise the assignment – including signposting, scaffolding and an outline of any overall general lessons.
– There is no appendix for this piece, and any footnotes/endnotes will be included in the final wordcount, although the bibliography will not.
